Gani, Yosef


Son of Jacob and Shoshana. He was born on April 11, 1944 in Jerusalem. He completed his studies at the boys ‘high school and continued to study at the “Lipschitz” Teachers’ Seminary and was a member of the “Bnei Akiva” movement and during his years of education he went to work camps with one of his favorite occupations. In the garden of his home he built a system of twenty-six cactus species that he had assembled, and he treated the fruit trees and the other flowers there, among other things, he loved animals and treats He completed his studies and went to work and training camp at Kibbutz Shluhot (one of the “Be’erotayim” nuclei) and to Mativta in Sde Eliyahu, where he was drafted into the IDF in January 1962, With the intention of fulfilling his Lev’s desires and giving his share to nature, fell during his duty on 14 June 1962 and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. In his memory, his love for flora and fauna is mentioned, and after he fell, a pamphlet appeared in his name.
