Ganesh, Gila

Daughter of Malka and David, was born on December 17, 1965, in Kfar Saba. Gila received her elementary education at the Bialik School in Netanya, and continued her high school studies in fashion at the Sharett School. Gila was a devoted and loving daughter to her parents and very close to her brothers and sisters. She loved to give and love them all. She had a poetic soul that found expression in her poems. In July 1984, Gila was drafted into the IDF, and was assigned to serve in a gear base where she completed a course in automotive mechanics on Saturday, March 30, 1985. Gila tried to save him, but succeeded, but she was electrocuted and died. She was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. Gila left behind her parents, two sisters and two brothers. The commander of the unit wrote in a letter of condolence to her family: “My beloved Gila was one of the soldiers in our unit, she was devoted and loved by people”
