Gamlieli, Yitzhak


Born in 1924 in Yemen and immigrated to Israel in 1943. In Ramat Gan, he worked as a construction worker and was a member of the Haganah. Yehoshua joined the War of Independence and served in the Givati ​​Brigade in the south. He took part in the “Yoav” operation to break the road to the Negev and fell with his comrades in battle at outpost 113 in the south on the 14th of Tishrei 5709 (October 17, 1948) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in the village of Warburg. He left behind a wife.
