Gamliel, Moshe

Son of Abraham and Clara. He was born on the 4th of Shevat, January 22, 1950 in Jaffa. He began his studies at the Conservatory, and also with private teachers, but he did not abandon his studies at the “Amal” school. It was organized by a group of musicians who performed in many festivals, and were known to many of the residents of the area. He thought that after his discharge from the IDF, he would be able to develop in this direction. In November 1967, he was drafted into the IDF. After a period of basic training, he underwent an arms course. He was sent to Sinai, and there, he fell in the line of duty, on the 25th of Iyar, May 23, 1968. Moshe was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. His unit commander wrote to his family, in a letter of condolences to them: His commanders and friends all praised his pleasant personality and character….For complete letter, see Hebrew translation.
