Gamliel, Eliezer (Ezri)
Son of Naomi and Haim, was born on 15.5.1929 in the Mishkenot neighborhood of Jerusalem. Because of the poor condition of the family, he stopped his studies after finishing fifth grade in elementary school and as a resolute young man, he himself chose his own way of life. At the age of 13 he began to work as an apprentice in a mechanical workshop, progressed in a profession and later supported his parents. Eliezer joined the Irgun underground, participated in operations against the British and in the battles of the War of Independence, which erupted after the UN General Assembly resolution on partition, even against the Arabs. He fought in Irgun attacks on Ramle, where he fell on Wednesday, June 11, 1948. About four years later, his bones were found along with the bones of some of his friends who fell there and were brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
