Galanti, Moshe
Moshe, son of Marcel and Simon, was born on October 27, 1954, in Tel Aviv and studied at the Borochov Elementary School in Givatayim and at Hadasim Youth Village, where he was a sports enthusiast, mainly soccer and swimming, He participated in the four-day marathon, and was drafted into the IDF in early 1972 and served in the Golani Brigade. During his army service he planned to study pharmacology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem after he was discharged from regular service. He was a good soldier, and because of his achievements, he was sent to a course for squad commanders, his grades in the course were excellent, he excelled in leadership skills and his physical fitness was excellent, but he did not finish the course when the war broke out. On 8.10.1973 he was killed in the battle for the Hermon outpost, where he fought with his comrades heroically and with resourcefulness against the Syrian forces, who stormed the important outpost and was brought to rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery. After his death, he was promoted to the rank of corporal, and in a letter of condolences to the bereaved family, his commander wrote that Moshe was a model for his friends.
