Gal (Neuman), Aryeh
Aryeh, son of Zvi and Frida Neuman (Gal), was born on 19 February 1917 in the city of Koenigsberg, Germany. He graduated from high school there and in 1936 immigrated to Israel. He participated in the War of Independence and the Sinai Campaign, and only a year before his death he was discharged from the IDF and was a good friend, devoted and willing to volunteer to serve the people. In 1967, when the Arab states threatened the State of Israel to destroy it, Aryeh enlisted in the general mobilization (that was on May 22) and went down to the Negev, but five days later, on the 17th of Iyar 5727 (27.5.1967), died at the time of his duty and was laid to rest at the cemetery in Kfar Giladi.
