Gafni, Boaz

Son of-Itzhak-Zvi and Drora. Born on 20.12.1941 in Kibbutz Maoz-Haim, where he grew up and graduated from elementary and high school, he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in November 1959. In the IDF, he graduated from the School of Flight and served as a combat pilot there until he was promoted to the rank of captain on 28.11.1966, while he was serving in the civilian cemetery at Kibbutz Maoz Haim. He published a pamphlet in his memory, bearing his name, and a photography and development laboratory was established there.
