Gadish, Yuval


Son of Ziva and Yariv was born on February 28, 1956 in the Jezreel group. At a young age he moved with his parents to Moshav Ein Vered in the Sharon region. He began his studies at the regional elementary school in Tel Mond, and after eight years he moved to the Katznelson High School in Kfar Saba and completed his high school studies in a real-time track. Yuval enlisted in August 1974, completed a pre-pilot course and was a pilot pilot, and in July 1975 he was promoted to corporal, was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant at the end of 1975. A year he was promoted to lieutenant. His commanders noted him as “a dedicated and responsible officer with a will and a positive attitude to his work.” In August 1977 he began serving in the regular army. He married and built his home in Rishon Letzion, where his son and daughter were born. He served in a helicopter squadron and his commanders praised him as “capable, very popular with his colleagues.” In March 1981 he was promoted to captain. On October 8, 1980, Yuval was on a helicopter training flight, together with Navigator. They took off in the morning in the Modiin area for a navigation exercise. About twenty minutes after taking off, the helicopter crashed and crashed near Modi’in. Yuval and the other crew member perished. He was 24 when he died. He was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Tel Mond. He left behind a wife, son, daughter, parents and sister. The commander of the base in which he wrote wrote in a letter of condolence to his wife: “Only someone who has lost someone close to him knows how cruel the words are, and to what extent they can not contain what is hidden behind them: husband, father, joy and hope.” To his parents, the commander of the base wrote: “Yuval, who was a member of the IAF family, is not with us, and from this moment on you are replaced by pain,
