Gadassi, Tamir

Son of Rachel and Zion. Born on 19.9.1969 in Rishon Letzion, he studied at the Itamar Elementary School in Rishon LeZion and continued his studies at the Amit high school in the optics program. His main hobby was basketball, he was active in the Hanoar Haoved movement, he was drafted into compulsory service in October 1987 and was assigned to serve in an anti-aircraft unit. Tamir fell during his service on the 16th of Av 5748 (16.7.1988) and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion, where he placed his parents and sister, Orit, in a letter of condolences to the grieving family. The commander further noted that Tamir was popular and acceptable to his comrades and was willing to help with any task.
