Gabriel, Norbert (Nachum)


Son of Ernestina and Jacob. He was born on May 8, 1912, in Szewice, Germany. In 1935 he immigrated to Eretz Israel and made a living by sewing leather clothes. In his spare time, he was a jeweler. During the Second World War he joined the ranks of the British Army and was assigned to the Corps of Engineers. He was sent to the front in Greece, where he was captured by the Germans. In November 1941 he was killed while trying to escape from captivity. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Athens.
