Gabbai, Ilan

Ilan, son of Batya and Aharon Gabbai, was born on December 12, 1984 in Kiryat Tivon. Ilan joined the IDF at the end of March 2003 and was assigned to the Paratroopers Battalion 101. When the Second Lebanon War broke out, Ilan commanded the department in the fierce battles that took place in Maroun al-Ras and Bint Jbeil and showed leadership, courage and resourcefulness. On August 8, 2006, Lieutenant Ilan Gabbai fell in a battle in the village of Aita al-Shaab.
