Gabay, Michael (Machluf)
Michael was born in 1948 in Rabat, Morocco, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1955. Michael was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early July 1972 for the Artillery Corps. After completing his basic training, he completed his training course in one of the IAF units and was a good soldier, responsible and dedicated to his role, and served as an example of his friends in his good temper, patience, and obedience. On October 19, 1973, Michael was killed in a battle in Tel-Fars, where a shell hit him and he was killed on the spot and brought to rest in the Nahariya cemetery, leaving a father, two brothers and a brother. Michael’s death on the defense of the homeland during the difficult war completed his educational path, his love of nature and the love of the land.
