Friedmann, Hillel


Son of Sarah and Sigmund, was born on December 14, 1929 in the city of Radowo, Slovakia. Who saw the destruction of his home in exile and immigrated to Israel during the struggle against the British on April 13, 1947. Hillel lived in Haifa and worked as a printer in a printing press. When he arrived he joined the Haganah, and during the War of Independence served in the Harel Brigade. Hillel fell in battle, in an attack on the radar camp, on the 23rd of Iyar 5708 (June 1, 1948). On the 17th of Cheshvan 5710 (17.11.1949) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
