Friedmann, Arieh

Son of Matityahu and Gitel. He was born in 1922 in Bischo-Illit, Transylvania, Romania, where he graduated from elementary school in his hometown and high school, and in 1945 immigrated to Israel with the children of Buchenwald as part of the Youth Aliyah. From Bnei Akiva to Kfar Pines, he moved to the Mikveh Israel agricultural school, and until now the War of Independence broke out, and immediately after his enlistment in March 1948, he took part in the Negev and northern Galilee. To the rank of captain on February 23, 1952. He fell in the line of duty and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa.
