Friedman, Meir

Son of Menashe and Leah. He was born in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, on July 27, 1933. As a child he was brought to Israel by his parents and graduated from the Hebrew Gymnasium “Herzlia” in Tel Aviv. Security and decision made his way through the airfield, Gadna-Air until he reached the rank of pilot before he was drafted in February 1951, when he took his place in an Israeli combat squadron. Even when he was a military pilot, he was not distracted from private aviation and from Daya and almost every Sabbath he took part in the activities of the Aerobatics Club in Israel. On the 3rd of Adar 5714 (March 8, 1954), he fell in the line of duty and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
