Fried (Sadeh), Haim
Haim Fried, son of Uri and Janet, was born in 1948, at the height of the War of Indepedece. He was orphaned from his father when he was five weeks old. He was a member of the “HaNoar HaOved” movement of the Moshavim movement and participated in the Gadna activities as part of the school and was drafted into the IDF in July 1966 and turned to the paratroopers. He participated in the Six-Day War with his battalion, and after the war he completed an officer’s course. Took part in the Karameh raid and then continued his training and participated in various combat operations. On the 18th of Shevat 5729 (6.2.1969), he fell in the line of duty – and only a month earlier he received the rank of lieutenant. He was laid to rest at the cemetery in Debre.
