Frenkel, Shmuel-Shimon


Was born on July 21, 1930, in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, and studied Jewish and general studies at the Orthodox school. Of the surviving remnant of the Hungarian Jews who remained after the Holocaust. He worked as a laborer in a bakery. In 1946 he left Hungary on the “Bericha route” and boarded the “Negev” in 1947. He worked in his profession in Binyamina. When the fighting began in the War of Independence he enlisted in the Irgun Zvai Leumi. He fell in an attack on Ramla on the 16th of Iyar 5708 (May 16, 1948.) On the 11th of Iyar 5712 (6.5.1952) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul
