Freiman, Hanan


Son of Amos (Bernard) and Kata. He was born in Nuremberg, Germany, in 1934. He completed his studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, was a member of the Scouts movement and was interested in music and art and was drafted into the IDF in August 1948. He underwent several pilots and in 1952 became a lieutenant and pilot in the regular army. During his last year of life, he worked on translating his favorite book, Twelve O’clock High, with the intention of giving his content to his friends. On the 19th of Iyar, 5712 (May 14, 1952) he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. His brother Yehuda fell in the War of Independence.
