Franco, Yitzhak-Meir-Nissan


Son of Esther and Moshe, was born on April 17, 1931 in Tel Aviv, completed the Beit Aharon Talmud Torah in Jerusalem and took a course in electricity at the Technical Institute and was a member of the Young Maccabee. But due to the intermission between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, he was forced to remain in Jerusalem. From the day the state was declared, he went on training and was one of the convoys. When he was 17, he enlisted in the Palmach Harel Brigade, was quiet and modest, and only those closest to him knew his strong love for the homeland. On the day of the 23rd of Iyar 5708 (June 1, 1948) he volunteered to go with the unit that attacked the radar camp in an attempt to capture him The Legion, whose members and commanders made an effort to dissuade him from doing so, lost his life and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Anavim.
