Ben Isabelle and Subhi. Edward was born in Yeruham on August 30, 1960. When he was ten, the family moved to Nazareth Illit, where he grew up and was educated. After graduating from high school, Edward enlisted in the police, in order to combine career and community contribution. At the beginning of his service, he served in Tel Aviv, in the Yarkon region, as a crime researcher, and later moved to serve in the national traffic police. Edward married Jeanette, the couple lived in Upper Nazareth and they had three children. He was a wonderful husband, a model father and very devoted to his work. A kind and pleasant man whose family and work were the essence of his life. In 1995, Edward became ill with leukemia and underwent severe chemotherapy. His great devotion to the police came to fruition when he returned to work as soon as there was a remission of the disease. He suffered greatly, but the thought that he would return to work gave him hope and a desire to continue living. About a month before his death, during one of his visits to the welfare officer, he said: “Do not hold a committee of disabled people, I will return to work, wait for me.” On 29.1.1999 the disease was overtaken by the advanced sergeant Edward. Thirty-nine years old. He was buried in the cemetery in Nazareth. Survived by a woman – Janet, three children – Natalie, Susan and Amir, mother – Isabelle, brother – Adiv, and three sisters – Manerva, Antoinette and Nurit.
