Forgech, Mordechai (Tommy)
Mordechai, son of Miriam and Moshe z “l, was born on March 7, 1947 in Hungary and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1949 and completed his studies at the Rambam Religious State School in Acre. Mordecai was a good student, a young man with energy and initiative, my friends and his friends and friends. He worked as a driver in Haifa and shortly before he fell in battle he went to Dimona to work and earn money there, and to save money for the future of his family. He was one of the first reservists to be recruited, went up to the Golan Heights with his comrades and participated in the braking battles against the Syrian forces. On October 21, 1973, he was killed and killed in an air strike in Khan Arnabeh. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Nahariya. He left behind a mother and brother. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote that Mordecai was always ready to help his comrades because he was a good soldier who volunteered to carry out any mission assigned to his unit.
