Fogel, Ben-Zion
Son of-Nechama and Yitzhak, was born on September 9, 1930, in the city of Bialystok, Poland, where his mother came from Israel for her pregnancy. His parents immigrated to Israel in 1926. At the age of six months, the mother returned to Israel and grew up in Rehovot, where his father worked in the manufacture of shingles and son of-Zion was a good help in this work. Ordered his squad to blow up the Arab house in an orchard in Beit Dagon and to conquer nearby villages. On Tuesday, July 10, 1948, He was sent to collect wounded people from the Ibdis outpost, where he was injured. The medics who felt his help said that his injury was mild and that he would treat others, and in the meantime he had lost his soul. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Rehovot.
