Flumenbaum, Paz

Paz, Rina and Nachum Flumenbaum’s eldest son, was born in 1984 in Hadera. On April 3, 2003, Paz enlisted in the Artillery Corps and underwent basic training. He served as an officer for the Bap (training base) in Lachish and served as an officer in the Armored Corps. In November 2008 he was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer. For five years he fought heroically. He was operated on several times and received medication and other treatments. During those difficult years, he did not give up the quality of his life, and for a long time his illness was in remission. After a stubborn war on cancer, Major Paz fell while carrying out his duties on 5 Shvat, February 6, 2014. He was buried in the military cemetery in Hadera and left behind his parents and brother.
