Flesh, Ephraim (Efra)


Son of Frida and Julius, was born on August 9, 1924, in Vienna, Austria, after school he moved to Yokne’am agricultural work and from there joined the settlement police and served in the Kiryat Hayim station, where he enlisted in the British Navy in 1942. After his discharge in 1946 he returned to the Haganah and took part in various activities. He was the main supporter of the family, and in the evenings he would study, especially in the study of languages He served in the Carmeli Brigade, fought in the front of the Western Galilee, and took part in the breakthrough to Yehiam, who fell during the truce in Birva on June 24, 1948. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Nahariya.
