Fishman, Hinda


Daughter of Chaya and Yaakov. Born in 1906 in the city of Kremnitz, Poland, she joined the Kolosova Hachshara, which trained pioneers for their immigration to Eretz Israel, and immigrated to Eretz Israel with pioneers of the Fifth Aliyah, On 19 Nisan, April 6, 1931, Hinda was shot and ambushed with two other members of her family when they returned in a wagon from the Nesher neighborhood to Kibbutz Yagur, near the farm, near the turning point of the road to Kfar Hasidim. A few Arabs were on the road, they let the cart pass and behind them they opened with a shower of shots, Hinda was killed by a bullet that pierced her heart. The three of them were buried in a mass grave in the old cemetery in Kibbutz Yagur, and a memorial service was held at the Yagur memorial school.
