Fisher, Rafael (Rafi)


Son of Shoshana and Reuven, he was born on 18.8.1964 in Ramat Hasharon, to Ronen and Yael. Rafi was the first “Sabra” in his family, and in 1978 he completed his studies at the Brenner elementary school in Herzliya. After graduating from the high school of electronics at ORT Herzliya, Rafi did not forget to take care of his physical fitness, and as a volunteer, he volunteered for the Civil Guard and accompanied students from lower grades. In October 1982, Rafi was drafted into the Israel Air Force, and in 1984 he completed the pilot course. In 1987, Rafi married his girlfriend, Gali, from childhood. In 1989 their son Tom was born and in 1994 their daughter Maya was born. The children continue to live and enjoy the special spirit of their father, lover of nature and animals, and combines this love with the spirit of excellence and success. In the course of his military service, Rafi graduated from Bar-Ilan University in the Department of Social Sciences, Economics, Sociology and Political Science. Rafi will always be remembered for his pure smile, his special humor, his laughing eyes, his being a man. He was a very devoted professional, and in his unique combination, true wisdom and being a fascinating conversationalist on the one hand, along with the humor, cordiality and popularism that characterized him and made him love all of them. On 1 Av, 29 July 2003, Rafi Fisher was killed in a road accident on the way to the Hod Hemed farmhouse in Hod Hasharon, where he was killed at the age of 39. He was survived by a wife, son and daughter, parents, brother and sister.
