Fishbein, Aharon (“Roni”)


Son of Avraham and Rivka. He was born on March 31, 1937 in Kfar Yona. He completed his studies at the elementary school in Tel Mond and later at the Mikveh Israel agricultural school. From his youth he stood out in his independent self, in his beauty and in his Lev. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1955 as part of the Paratroopers Brigade, where he was assigned to a reconnaissance unit, and since then he has seen his friend fall into his grave and seem to have grown up in one fell swoop and participated in the Sinai Campaign. (October 31, 1956), fell in battle in the Mitla Pass. He was buried in the Military Cemetery of the Emergency Army in Shelah and on the 28th of Tishrei 5718 (23.10.1957) he was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. His memory was mentioned in Uri Milstein’s book, “The Paratroop Wars.”
