First, Yoel

He was born on the 8th of Tishrai, September 26, 1925, in Romania, and completed elementary school. Yoel immigrated to Israel from Yugoslavia in 1945 and settled in the Kinneret colony, where he joined the Golani Brigade during the War of Independence and participated in battles in the Jordan Valley and in the Battle of Sejera where on the 7th of Tammuz 5708 (11.7.1948), he fell. Yoel was buried in Kfar Tavor. On the 7th of Tammuz 5710 (22.6.1950) he was put to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
