First, Nathan-Ze’ev
Son of Bela-Rivka and Moshe-Yehoshua, was born on the 18th of Tevet, January 19, 1942 in the city of Pashtik, Poland. As a child he had many diseases, but he overcame them. The family immigrated to Israel in 1938 and settled in Tel Aviv. Nathan-Ze’ev joined the Haganah in 1941, trained as a machine gunner and participated in activities of The Haganah, such as the “Night Wingate” operation, the preparation for the demobilization of the “Nordic” and “Exodus” immigrants, and in July 1947 he was in the Hawaiian Garden, participated in the retaliation operations in Pardes Abu Laban. Nathan-Ze’ev went out to guard the water line in the Negev, accompanied convoys, and at the end of January 1948 he was sent to a training course and then was sent to the paramedics’ course. Nathan-Ze’ev was transferred to the Givati Brigade and participated in the raid on the headquarters of Hassan Salameh, was one of the commanders of the gangs, and participated in the “Nahshon” operation in the occupation of Dir Muhsin, the Arab Hulda, accompanied by convoys to Jerusalem and the attacks on Ramleh, Abu Shusha. On June 2-3, 1948, as part of the “Philistine” operation, the Givati forces attacked the Egyptian forces near the Ashdod Bridgebut the attack failed. Nathan-Ze’evIn fell in this battle on the 25th of Iyar 5708 (June 3, 1948), and was buried by the Egyptians. About half a year later he was brought to rest with his comrades in the Warburg military cemetery.
