Fireman, Baruch (Bernard)


Son of Yehudit and Yehiel Meir, was born on the 15th of Heshvon, November 10, 1927, in Paris, France. Baruch was a Zionist from his youth and left his home and work to come to Israel during the War of Independence in May 1948. Baruch immediately enlisted in the “Machal” (Overseas Volunteers) program, trained, joined the Givati ​​Brigade and moved to the Negev. Baruch was killed in the “Yoav” operation in the battle on Hill 113 near Negba on the 14t of Tishrai, October 17, 1948. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in the village of Warburg.
