Meir (Meirka), son of Victoria and Yitzhak, was born on 11 May 1940 in Jerusalem.Meir was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in August 1958. After completing his basic training course, he was sent to serve in the navy, and after a short period was transferred to the naval commando unit He joined the merchant fleet for many years and worked hard, faithfully and devotedly until he reached the rank of second machine officer in the Merchant Navy.In his many years of work on the sea, Meir dealt with security transfers, And he sailed in tankers and cargo ships, and eight years after he had sailed in the days, he married him and established And after a while he got a job as a mechanic and a maintenance staff member at the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv, where his employers saw him as a dedicated and modest worker and a year later he was appointed head of the maintenance staff at the hotel. Who was in the process of being set up, and Meir began to look into the possibility of moving with his family to Jerusalem, the city he loved so much. On the night of April 18, 1974, he suddenly fell dead while on duty. The next day he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He left behind a wife – Michal, son – Ido, and Daughter – Sharon, and a large family.
