Finblit, Ofek

Son of Rivka and Aryeh. Ofek was born in Haifa on the 29th of Tammuz, July 29, 1973. In October 1991, Ofek enlisted in the IDF, and completed an officer’s course. At the end of his regular army service he continued to serve in the navy. Major Ofek fell during his duties on the 23rd of Iyar, May 27, 2011. He was thirty eight years old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa, leaving behind a wife, daughter, son, father, two sisters and a brother.
