Fima, Shlomo


Son of Mordechai and Perla. He was born in 1938 in Rabat, Morocco, where he studied at the Alliance School in 1955. His profession was a welder, who was drafted into the IDF in January 1956. Afterward he went on reserve duty from time to time and on the second day The Six-Day War, on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967), fell in a battle on the Gaza-Rafah road. He left a wife and two children; The daughter was born after her father sank. He was known as a man of love, modest in his ways and friends. Used to help others and encourage his friends in difficult situations. His commanders point out that he could be trusted to carry out any mission. He was buried in the military emergency cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. In the “Niv” published by the Dead Sea Works, his memory was raised and several pages were dedicated to him in the “five fallen”
