Fiedler, Pinchas (Fied)


Pinchas, son of Bilha and Moshe Fiedler, was born on 24 March 1911 in the city of Port Said, Egypt. At the end of the First World War he immigrated to Israel. He was a member of the Haganah. During the War of Independence and the siege of Jerusalem, he was one of the defenders of the city. Pinchas fell in Katamon on the 22nd of Nissan 5708 (1.5.1948). He was buried in Sanhedria in Jerusalem. On September 20, 1951, he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
