Feynman, Avram (Avi)


Son of Daniel and Naomi. He was born on March 14, 1953 in the United States. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1953. He studied at the Yaffe Nof School in Jerusalem and completed his elementary studies at the State School in Ramat Hasharon. He began his high school studies at the Sharon School in Ramat Hasharon. He completed his 11th year of studies in Avinton, England, then returned to the Sharon High School and graduated with the biological-biological track, and was drafted into the IDF in early August 1971 and assigned to the infantry. After basic training, he took a course in squad commanders, followed by a course for officers and telegrams, and a course for infantry officers. After three years in the army, Avi joined the regular army for six months. During the Yom Kippur War he took part in the first days of the fighting and was wounded. His commanders admired him as an excellent soldier, a commander who gave a good example and a trusted professional. On Tuesday, 17 December 1974, Avi was injured in an accident that occurred during training in the Abu Samra area of ​​Sinai and was taken to an eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, where he left behind parents and two sisters.
