Feingold, Tuvia
Ben Yitzhak and Anette. He was born on the 9th of Tevet 5706 (9.1.1955) in Ashkelon. “Tuvia had a short life. And there was a sense of this short life. He lived his life quickly. He wanted to be able to enjoy himself as much as possible. “Those around him wondered, sometimes, why he did not rest during the holidays or stopped the flight for fun. He used to simply say, “I want to live.” Tuvia was drafted into the IDF in February 1973 and assigned to the Armored Corps. After basic training and after completing various professional courses, he was sent to an armored brigade in Sinai where he served until his last day. He was careful to maintain his physical fitness during the army service and used to run around the base daily and exercise. In the army, as in the last years of his studies, he was interested in singing and writing songs about his feelings, his loves and his disappointments. Wanted to publish his poems. He also wanted to write and tell the story of his life. On the 17th of Av 5734 (August 5, 1974), Tuvia fell while serving in the Sinai. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon. Survived by his parents, sister, and brother.
