Feingersh (Pinchas), Aliza (Lizika)
Daughter of Shulamit and Yosef Pinchas. She was born in 1918 in Salonika, Greece, and immigrated to Israel with her family in 1921. After a few years the family lived in Jerusalem, then moved to Tel Aviv and Aliza attended the girls’ school in Neveh Tzedek. She helped her father in an orchard and a cowshed, a sturdy girl who was full of life and vitality, played soccer with the boys and competed with them in her work, galloping horses and driving a car, her body was always active and her mouth filled with poetry. At eighteen she married a German immigrant, but she did not leave her work. She also began to cook for the volunteers, and in the midst of the 1936-1939 events she went to Tel Aviv to buy food for the volunteers.On 27 Tishrei (22.10.1938) she was involved in a traffic accident and died of her wounds. She was laid to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery, leaving a husband, parents, brother and two sisters. She was written about in the Davar.
