Feder, Eliezer

Feder, Eliezer

Son of Michael and Leah. He was born on October 1, 1928 in the city of Leuca in Czechoslovakia. During the Second World War he lived in England as a refugee and studied there. In 1943 he joined the British Air Force even though he was no longer drafted. His love of flying was enormous. At the end of the war he returned to his homeland to finish his studies, and in the meantime received a license to drive a civilian airplane. With the outbreak of the War of Independence, he immediately stood up and was ready to join the volunteer unit of fighters. He completed the pilots’ course at the site and then left for Israel. Shortly after his arrival, on the 19th of Tammuz 5709 (July 19, 1949), in the course of his duties, he fell and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
