Fax, Yitzhak (Ike)
Son of Yehoshua and Shoshana. He was born on the 24th of Kislev 5727 (24.11.1956) in Even Yehuda, where he moved to Daughter of-Yam, where he was educated in the state-religious-religious elementary school, He was a very sociable boy, but was of a closed nature and did not like to stand out too much, and devoted himself mainly to the study of car-electric engineering and succeeded in these studies after completing three years of study at the vocational school In 1975, he was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Israel Police, where he served as an electrician in the Shimshon garage in Tel Aviv, Ethan. At first he served in the Qaddum camp, near Nablus, as a driver and later as the driver of the main instructor at the training base. He fulfilled these duties to the satisfaction of his commander. His comfortable character, his kindness and his desire to help his friends earned him a parchment certificate from a chief police-military officer, as the best driver in the unit. On the 17th of Nissan 5737 (5.4.1977) Yitzhak fell in the line of duty – and he was 20. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Holon. Survived by his parents, two sisters and four brothers. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote among other things: “… your son Isaac served in the unit for more than two years, during his service I recognized him as a quiet, gentle and loyal soldier beyond what was required of him and performed his role to my full satisfaction.”
