Farhi, Yosef (‘Yossi’)

Yosef ben Yehuda and Miriam. He was born on the 29th of Teves, January 21st, 1958, in Magdiel, to a family with many children. He attended the religious elementary school in Magdiel and continued his studies at the Chabad-Lubavitch school in Kfar Chabad, where he was a quiet boy, a good student, devoted to his friends and family. Yosef was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of September 1975 and assigned to the Intelligence Corps. On the 25th day of Av, August 31, 1978, at twenty years old, Yossi fell during his service. He is buried in the cemetery in Magdiel , leaving behind his parents, brothers and sisters. His family donated a Torah scroll to the synagogue to commemorate him.
