Farhi, Isaiah (Joseph)


Son of Dorah and Yaakov. He was born in 1924 in Sofia, Bulgaria. And graduated from the French college in Plovdiv. He joined the local branch of the Betar youth movement, where he contributed to the life of the Jewish community and was one of the initiators and readers of the self-defense activities during the war and the Nazi occupation.In 1944 he immigrated to Eretz Israel and joined the ranks of the Lehi underground, Yosef”. Among his friends, he was known as a courageous, energetic and loyal fighter for the purposes and principles of the underground. He took part in many anti-British activities. On the 17th of Sivan 5706 (17.6.1946) he was among the participants in an attack on the railway workshops near Kfar Ata, and in this action he was killed and killed on the spot. He was brought to eternal rest in the Haifa cemetery. Laid parents and brother. In memory of his fallen comrades, a monument was erected at the entrance to Kfar Ata.
