Falk, Ehud

Falk, Ehud

A gentle and Simcha son. He was born on the 27th of Tevet 5707 (27.12.1955) in Moshav Merhavia in the Jezreel Valley. He studied at the elementary school in Afula and continued at the Yad Natan agricultural school near Acre, where he graduated cum laude as agricultural engineer. He was always more than anyone else. A prototype for “What shall I bless you more?” The most Yaffa, the smartest, the most heroic, the most restrained, everything came to him easily and went smoothly. There was nothing he did not excel at. At the end of November 1974, Ehud enlisted in the IDF, on his way to a pilot course, and his skills were conspicuous, yet his modesty, his friends liked him, perhaps because he never placed himself in the center, even though he recognized the value himself. , A kind of special quiet, security that serves security, a friend who takes care to go back to bring a few more friends with him to the final stages of the course. At the end of the course he was posted for a short period in the Ait squadron, The squadron was one of the most popular, the kind everyone wanted in his company, on the ground and in the air To be always good and ready from all, and the failures of minute details on the flight would have taken him hours on the way home, and his friends had trouble understanding how an older and controlled man like Ehud could take the flight to such an extent. He decided to live in a moshav or in the city, whether to continue with academic research or as a pilot and commander in the air force. Four years later he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and physics. During these years he married Zivit and his daughter Ophir was born. Two years after completing his studies, during which he worked as an electrical engineer at IAI, he returned with serious doubts to the regular service in the air force and continued through the Beige Squadron. Home and family were a center of gravity in his life. This ‘home’ is Merhavia, the parents and brothers, the large family of Falk. This is the valley, the fields, the expanses, and the house is mainly Zivit and Ofir, and the future he built in the vineyards of Yosef, which he did not achieve. Beyond his successes and beyond excellence, beyond all else, he was proud of Ophir. On Monday, 15.8.1988, he fell while carrying out his mission on a training flight in the Dead Sea area where two Bez planes collided 10 kilometers east of Hebron, and his friend Ram Kohler was killed in the accident. Survived by his wife, daughter, parents and two brothers – Ra’anan and Nir.
