Falah, Amos
Son of Nissim and Juliet. Born on Twelfth of Tammuz Ts”g (07/15/1943) Libyan city of Benghazi that, and was named after his grandfather, who was chief rabbi of Benghazi. In fact, the child was born on the desert road between Benghazi and Tripoli, when many Jews fled their homes while the riots spread and the situation worsened. At the end of the war, their lives began to restart, and in a few years, in 1948, Amos’ parents immigrated to Israel, like most loyal Jews, and their son. The son entered the elementary school (Rashi) in Tel Aviv and then received a Stefandia high school “Shalva”, but because of the severe financial situation of the family can not finish his studies in the twelfth grade and he hoped to finish the army. In order to help the members of the household, he went to work in the store. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement. Guardian tradition was shy and not involved with people. He loved his little brothers and gave them the pocket money he had. In May 1961 he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces, was ambushed on the border, and underwent a course of sappers on 24 August 1962. He fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
