Fadida, Yaakov


Son of Hannah and Machluf, was born on 12 October 1932 in Tiberias. When the War of Independence began, despite his young age he wandered among the Arabs to obtain information and was on guard. In the days of the attack on the Adler Hotel, he managed to crawl towards the Arabs and disperse them with grenades. Yaakov fell under tragic circumstances in Tiberias, from a bullet that was shot accidentally, and he died on April 22, 1948. He was 15 and a half years old. Yaakov was brought to eternal rest at a military ceremony of the Haganah at the military cemetery in Tiberias.
