Ezrati, Joseph (“Yossi”)

Son of Shmuel and Shoshana. He was born on the 14th of Elul 5705 (August 23, 1945) in Tel Aviv. He completed his studies at the “son of-Yehuda” elementary school and later studied at the Herzliya Hebrew Gymnasium. The “Green Village” was also a source from which he drew and prepared for the matriculation exams. He tended to painting, discovered talent in this direction, and even studied at the Avni Art Academy. He loved music and a good book. He was by nature humble and timid. Was drafted into the IDF in May 1963. He was seriously injured in the battle on the Syrian border, when he joined the group in the half-track to rescue a few wounded. For three days he suffered greatly, but he bore his suffering in silence and silence until his soul died on the 11th of Kislev 5727 (16.11.1964). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. At the beginning of December, the head of the Northern Command, Major General David Elazar, praised him for his bravery and coolness in the battle with the enemy, maintaining (as a radio operator) the connection between all the commanders. He left behind a large collection of paintings.
