Ezekiel, Ezekiel
Son of Zerubavel and Teja. He was born in 1935 in Szez, Iran, and studied in the Beit Midrash in his city, where he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1950. Yehezkel was drafted into the IDF in February 1955. He loved the army and its life and participated in the Sinai Campaign and later in the Six-Day War. He served as a machine gunner in a rifle company and did his service loyally and devotedly. He would be Simcha to receive a summons to reserve duty and would go to fulfill his duty with joy and satisfaction. At the end of July 1969 he received an order for active reserve duty. On the 8th of Av 5726 (7.8.1969), he fell while carrying out his mission in a mine in the Golan Heights. He left a wife and three children. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
