Even Tzur, Salomon

Ben Saul and Yitzhak. Salomon was born in Meknes, Morocco on May 22, 1950. Salomon (Momy) immigrated to Israel from Morocco alone at the age of 17. He joined the IDF in 1968 and served in combat engineering. On Purim in 1973, Salomon married and moved to Eilat and worked at Israel Shipyards, then returned to Haifa and joined the police. He was addicted to his work which preceded everything, including his family. In one case, he and his family were the victim of revenge for a criminal who threw a grenade into the balcony of Salomon Rimon’s house, causing extensive damage to the house and severe trauma to his wife and children. First Sergeant Salomon fell during his service on February 7, 1995. He was laid to rest in the Haifa military cemetery, leaving a woman, three children, a mother, three sisters and a brother.
