Eshel, David


Son of Haim and Shulamit. He was born in Kiryat Shmona on April 20, 1953. He spent his childhood in Ramat Gan, where he studied at the “Amishav” school, and later moved to high school in Kibbutz Lehavot Haviva, where he was very friendly and involved. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved vehalomed youth movement and was trained as a car mechanic, known for his diligence and diligence, and was always enlisted in the IDF in mid-August 1971 and assigned to the infantry. On August 2, 1972, a year later, he died. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. The commander of his unit wrote in a letter of condolence to his family that David “was an outstanding soldier who stood out at his initiative and in his professional perception, and achieved high grades in the tests that were conducted, the first to help others and to protect his friends.
