Was born on 27.11.1924 in the city of Dresden, Germany, when he was eight years old and came to Israel with his family, grew up in Hadera, loved nature, and excelled in painting and sowing during the Second World War. He served in the British artillery corps, against the will of his parents, and preceded his two older brothers who joined him, serving in Haifa, Tripoli, Cyprus, and other places.
